Found this linked on Drudge.. http://washingtontimes.com/upi-breaking/20040615-055649-4707r.htm

Iran really did play us, depending on how everything turns out, do you think this might eventually go down as one of the most brilliant intelligence opps in history?

4. When you look up clusterfuck in the dictionary
Iraq invasion should be how it is defined.

This is the clusterfuck of all clusterfucks.

Ooops! I meant to say, "things are going great over there!" They truly do think we are idiots.

3. Don't expect Iran to do anything provocative....
They should keep a low profile and continue to work on their nuclear program. A brash move like the one in the article would run contrary to their nuclear ambitions and cause a big fubar with Israel/United States.

5. Maybe the intent is to try to play you and I. . .
into believing US troops need to remain in Iraq else Iran will overrun the nascent "democracy."

Never attribute altruistic goals to what could be a nefarious plot. And punish the messenger along with the message when his truthfulness (Washington Times) is more suspect than reasonable suspicions warrant.

6. Disregard anything coming from The Washington Times
This rag is owned by Rev Moon of the Unification Church and is a mouthpiece for the Repugs.

9. A bit of a dodgy provence; denied by Iran
A "reliable Iraqi source" tells an Arab newspaper (published in London, not Saudi Arabia) about activities in Iran, and the Washington Times reports on it.

But IRNA quotes its source as saying the report is "fabricated and baseless" and is meant to help the United States continue its occupation of Iraq.

Iranian officials have previously said the Tehran government supports full sovereignty for Iraq.

13. NO ONE PLAYED US BUT the neo cons and Bush
Edited on Tue Jun-15-04 05:05 PM by Marianne
If it were not for their Straussian and Machiavellian policies we would not have murdered thousands and thousands of innocent people and children and babies and preganant women and toddlers

It is all because of the evil BUSH , and not because of Iran or anyone else

It is BUSH the evil person who caused the entire thing.

NEVER FORGET IT.

We have been jerked around by the rich people who are seeking to do anything and use anyone, including our children , to die for them as their "right"

Their "right" to make a profit off the deaths of thousands.

It is time to revolt. All decent people need to rise up in protest against this disease that has George Bush as it's primary disease producer---and to make it worse, this idiot is indeed, an idiot and posesses less than the normal in intelligence.

We cannot go on like this and keep our view of the United States , our country, as a country that is above it all and is interested in promoting democracy for all

It is simply not the case. IT IS NOT.

FACE IT

We are not in that sancitified hole mode. We are in the facsist mode and it is evil under this man , this cowardly man, who has less than the normal, accepted intelligence.
