Randi Rhodes: "wage" and "income" are not the same thing...
She is such a stupid bitch... she laughed at this guy and hung up on him because she thought he was a stupid for saying that a "wage tax" is different than an "income tax."

2. Perhaps he was saying...

That "income" can come from various sources, including capital gains which, I recall correctly is taxed at a lower rate than "wages" in the paycheck.

So there is a difference.

3. Well she's SO much smarter than her callers
I don't know why she bothers to have them on at all...

5. Sorta feel the same way...
...she does seem to talk over her callers.

Knows her stuff, but so do a lot of us.

9. A lot of us know our stuff
but I can't think of one DU'er who is as rudely condescending as Randi.

I've never seen someone so abusive to people who take the time to call her show and wait to talk to her. It's like she shoots herself in the foot with:

1. rudeness to her supporters
2. constant vulgar sexual reference - I don't care if she's bi
3. that phlegm in her throat thing - that always grosses me out.
4. measuring herself up to real stars, as if she is one.

6. She IS a lot smarter than callers, but
I have heard her listen to people who make sense. Cut her a brake. This damn hard job she's doing.

10. Wage and income taxes are different
especially between members of different economic levels. Income means any monies you earn in a year, whether it's interest or capital gains or annuities or a host of financial sources including wages.

That's an important distinction if you're talking about the poorest and the wealthiest members of society. The poorest members of society tend to be taxed only on wages and have bank accounts so small as to not generate taxable levels of interest. To my thinking, there's a clear and important difference, and her critique is valid, even if her mockery is offputting.

Calling a woman a bitch isn't generally regarded as acceptable means of communicating your displeasure over her exacting intelligence.
