5. Is that what that was?
I felt one huge jolt and everything in the room rattled. It felt like the whole building jumped about a foot. It's been years since I felt a quake of any kind.

8. Aye
USGS is saying a 4.5 in Agoura Hills, but we felt it fairly strongly here in San Diego.

Might want to edit the subject line to include "quake".

I didn't even notice it, and I'm a fair bit closer than you are in SD (Pasadena).

On edit: my mistake - looks like you were shaking because of this one:
http://pasadena.wr.usgs.gov/shake/ca/STORE/X169_04/ciim_display.html

Now I don't feel so bad.
Hmmm, kind of a busy day quake-wise, eh? Can we blame it on bush?

28. Good news/bad news...
You want a bunch of small quakes, to relieve pressure on the fault lines.

BUT

It can be the precurser to a big one...

I'll let you know if California falls into the sea, if you'll let me know if America East of the Rockies does...

29. After many years in rescue services I
hope it is just small ones releasing pressure.... but will let you know... seems our local alarm (sun comure) has calmed down... her first earthquake... how cute.

If she again gets skitish I will again know something's up...

I wish all them reports of animals getting skitish were taken a tad more seriously... my three birds do get skitish before quakes
