Anyone catch Gerald Posner on Countdown?

I imagine he has been thoroughly discussed here but I seemed to have missed it. He seems to be really on the ball and is taking the FBI to task. His book is Why America Slept.

6. Posner's work is a mixed bag ...

But he, too, is not above cherry picking things out of context and employing a whole battery of bullshit rhetorical tricks to "prove" whatever point he is making. Case Closed is an excellent study in how to jump to conclusions.

3. he pissed me off, they ALL intertwine SHOOT DOWN orders

with standard intercept procedures. They have to do that on purpose. There is no way he doesn't know the distinction.

5. Because I cannot come up with another reason why everyone,

including Peter Jennings, covers the NORAD portion of 9/11 in such a misleading way. If you didn't know about intercept procedures you would not know that they were different than shoot down orders. There is no way these professionals are getting the same part of the story wrong (or at least, incomplete), every single time this aspect is discussed. See what I'm saying? If you were discussing NORAD would you know enough to talk about intercept procedures and shoot down orders?

bakj when i could still watch them and he's been debunked by just about everyone. If his stuff had any real value it would have picked up way more traction by the right slanting main stream media.
