3. Could be an import of the UK show 'Wife Swap'
they get the wives of 2 families to swap houses for a week (no swapping of jobs, if they have them). They pick 2 very different families (eg tidy versus slobs, permissive v. strict parents, families where the husband controls everything v. ones where the wife does, etc.) and see how they get on. It's an easy way of getting the audience to take sides - "yeah, tell that slob to do his own washing!" "give the kids a break!", and so on.

There is, of course, no sex involved whatsoever. Most of the couples wouldn't touch each other with a barge pole anyway. Presumably each family has a spare room (or makes one) where the 'guest' wife sleeps.

Occasionally it looks as though someone may learn a lesson in humility, cooperation etc., but I got the feeling that it would rarely last. Not great TV, but not the end of civilised values as we know them.
