Sean Hannity is afraid of basking sharks.

He said this evening on his nightly propaganda dispatch that Newsday has reported that basking sharks have been seen off of Long Island. He then said something to the effect of "You see why I don't go into the water. You don't know what's below your feet!" He sounded awfully concerned about his safety, even bringing up that girl from last summer whose arm was ripped off by a shark.

Yep...they're ruthless, those basking sharks.

Basking sharks are not aggressive and are generally harmless to people. Basking sharks live in coastal temperate waters. Basking sharks are slow swimmers, going no more than 3 mph (5 kph). They swim by moving their entire bodies from side to side (not just their tails, like some other sharks do).
