"Yet nothing is done! '
I am starting to see this phrase a lot regarding the Pres. and his gang of thugs. Just think about what they have gotten away with to date. Nothing can be done unless there is an overwhelming majority of American voters that vote this cabal out because the Right Wing controls just about everthing. It is no exageration to say that Amerika is now a Right Wing Dictatorship that has a compliant Mainstream Media. It would probably be best to vote Absentee Ballot because Diebold machines are owned by a Right Wing Mogul.

1. This is true ONLY if you believe the US is a one-party state...
...I'm amazed that so many Democrats have accepted the myth that nothing can be done about a corrupt government unless the opposition has a majority. This is simply not true. The Constitution and US law contains many ways to expose and prosecute crimes and misdeeds by the executive branch. BUT the minority party must be motivated to use them, rise above politics and have the best interests of the people at heart.

3. That would be a wonderful thing
if someone had the stones to use those tools. In the meantime, bill clinton was investigated by a variety of withch hunters for eight solid years and all the witch hunters could come up with was theat he fibbed about a blowjob from a fat, unattractive chick. Bush has committed more impeachable offenses in 4 years than anyone since Nixon and is still scot free.

Congres better grow some stones and appoint a special prosecutor or ten to hound the chimp into an early grave.

7. Not possible
We're already "obstructionists" as it is. You can't filibuster everything, or even most things. That's political suicide. I shouldn't have to be telling you that.

8. It is political suicide to continually be marginalized as a party.
I shouldn't have to tell you that.

5. Exactly.
These RW nutjobs wouldn't be able to do any of this crap if it weren't for the ever so compliant Democrats
