Randi talking about Rush's latest divorce. Maybe he should try going gay
Edited on Wed Jun-16-04 02:39 PM by Cyrano
What the hell does he have to lose. The big question is, would he be a top or a bottom? Opinions?

On edit: Randi wasn't talking about him going gay. It's my question.

2. She was "asking a question as if she were a journalist" and asked Marta
if she felt suffocated...Marta answered: especially when he got on top. LOL

5. Hey, what makes you think we want him?
And that he's on "our" side, anyway?

6. He already tried that
Lost a job and had no better luck that way. If women don't want him, why would men?

10. Yeah, I heard he'd had some 'adventures'
when he was younger. So maybe it's not going that
he needs to do, but "coming out"?

7. Ummm...
...as a gay man I wouldn't want that prick hanging around my local watering hole, high on Oxycontin and slobbering over our local hotties. Fuck that shit. You keep him.

9. Another instance of (probably) unintentional gay-bashing...
As if, no matter how bad someone is, you can always make him or her worse by using the word gay. Don't you realize how this hurts and bothers gays? Or do you just not care?

12. I don't think it is meant to hurt. It is heterosexuals trying to get him
off their team into somebody else's, it doesn't really matter whose.

No gay bashing intended here. It's Rush bashing. Jeeez. You sound like a left-wing Tucker Carlson.

16. I have a terrific sense of humor...
Now, consider if the guy had said, "He should try going Jewish." Or black. See my point? The only way to make Rush worse is to suggest that he "go" gay? :-)

22. Gildor...
A lot of people just don't care. I've almost grown accustomed to the usual go-round of "Oh, lighten up!" ... "Stop being so hypersensitive!" ... "Where's your sense of humor?" ... "I didn't mean it to BE offensive, so it's NOT offensive!" ...

Try to explain why something hurts, or offends, and that's what you usually get. And as an extra-added bonus, you end up featured on RW sites obsessed with DU, and cited as the DU Idiot of the Day, or DU Feminazi of the Day, or DU Whatever of the Day.

Sad.

But thanks for trying.

21. Rush is NOT responsible for his divorce! I'm so sure of it
Rush and other fine responsible conservatives have so much respect for the institution for marriage that there is no way that they are to blame for their divorces.

I'm pretty sure Bill Clinton is fully responsible for his divorce.

Those damn evil democrats!!!!! How dare they!!!!

Just a side note:

Republican Marriage History
Ronald Reagan - divorced the mother of two of his children to marry Nancy Reagan who bore him a daughter only 7 months after the marriage.
Bob Dole - divorced the mother of his child, who had nursed him through the long recovery from his war wounds.
Newt Gingrich - divorced his wife who was dying of cancer.
Dick Armey - House Majority Leader - divorced
Sen. Phil Gramm of Texas - divorced
Gov. John Engler of Michigan - divorced
Gov. Pete Wilson of California - divorced
George Will - divorced
Sen. Lauch Faircloth - divorced
Rush Limbaugh - Rush and his current wife Marta have six marriages and four divorces between them.
Rep. Bob Barr of Georgia - Barr, not yet 50 years old, has been married three times. Barr had the audacity to author and push the "Defense of Marriage Act." The current joke making the rounds on Capitol Hill is "Bob Barr, WHICH marriage are you defending?"
Sen. Alfonse D'Amato of New York - divorced
Sen. John Warner of Virginia - divorced (once married to Liz Taylor)
Gov. George Allen of Virginia - divorced
Henry Kissinger - divorced
