"Rolling Blackout" *Bushes Freudian slip?
Did anyone else catch the Drunk in chief's "new conference" last night? Near the beginning he referred to the current blackout as a "rolling blackout". This is the term used to describe what happened back during Enron's rape of California (which many believe the BFEE was heavily involved in). The Gimp in chief was also taping his "news conference" from California - I bet he and his cronies had been sitting around drinking and joking about those "rolling blackouts" when this came up and of course Geo-Geo the talking chimp let the term 'slip" in his little talk.

3. Aside from conspiracy theory
The term was inappropriate to what happened in the NE last night. I cannot believe that with all the high paid advisors around the pResident, they didn't catch that. Even worse, he used the term several times as if it was one of the "talking points" he was supposed to have memorized.

Not only was his taped performance pathetic, but it was also troublesome in the sense that our leader (gag) could be so misinformed.

6. Right, 'rolling blackouts' are scheduled...
I noticed that the Idiot Usurper referred to the blackout as a 'rolling blackout' and immediately knew that his dictatorship pulled this stunt as a distraction and/or test -- I wasn't sure which one.

8. The WaPo is having an online chat with the
Co-director of Carnegie Mellon Electricity Industry Center. I submitted a question about Bush's use of the term rolling blackout and whether it was used appropriately because rolling blackouts usually refer to planned events. This was his answer:

M. Granger Morgan: Power companies do sometimes turn power off power in first one and then another area when they don't have enough power to meet all the demand, and I guess some folks call that a rolling blackout.

What Mr. Bush meant was that the blackout cascaded across the region and first one and then another system had problems and protective devices disconnected things. In that sense it rolled rapidly across the north east.

9. Is it possible that this was INTENDED as a rolling blackout?
I don't for a minute think this was an accident. Or, more accurately, these days I more or less automatically assume something is a "conspiracy" rather than a coincidence. And there were some strong pointers right away that tend to confirm my suspicions on this.

Soo, for those of you who may be more technically proficient, is there a chance this was intended as a rolling blackout (assuming it was "intended" in the first place, as I do)?

12. Well.....
The Energy Bill just HAPPENS to be making it's way through Congress and it's chocked full of ways to deregulate energy across the entire country. Look at how the energy pirates of the past blackmailed the energy consumers to take advantage of them and rob them blind. Back then, it was no money, no electricity. Now it's, no deregulation and a legal way of robbing you silly, no electricity. As Bush said last night, this country had a lesson to learn. The only thing I've learned is this administration has a habit of resurrecting bad history.

Yeah, we in California had deja vu all over again with this blackout.

Hell, they got away with it the first time, why not do it again?

The fuckers are gonna keep doing what they do until we throw them out.

14. "Rolling Blackout"--Another reason for regime change
For millions of Americans, including most of my family, the blackout stretching across the northeast yesterday provided a powerful reminder of the vulnerability and strains on the nation’s energy supply. I just wanted to point out to everyone the practical, powerful solutions John Kerry proposes in his energy policy. I think his policy will improve national security by decreasing dependence on foreign oil. It will also improve the national economy while protecting the environment. It will create huge cost savings and reduce harmful pollutants by improving energy efficiency. At the same time, by promoting alternative technologies, it will create thousands and thousands of new high-tech jobs for Americans--if the US takes the lead, as John Kerry urges we must.

If you want to get more information on his plan, check out: http://www.johnkerry.com/news/speeches/spc_2003_0613.html

15. Jesus aren't you sick of his enablers?!
"What the president meant was..."
"I believe the president was referring to..."

How the hell many times did we hear "He says what he means, and he means what he says", while propping up this brain-dead sot?

Just get Karen Hughes to read the talking points like she did on 9/11 and give SOT-US his whiskey-soaked binky and put him to bed.

(Where the hell's my soma!?!)

19. I didn't really consider him calling it "rolling blackouts."
But the part I thought was funny was that it took him forever to think of the words:

"Today the nation suffered... uh....... rolling blackouts."

Perhaps he was about to black out.
