Should President Kerry ask for a Special Prosecutor?
I know a lot of us have some bitter memories of the last Special Prosecutor appointed to investigate a President's alleged improprities. Boy, I sure do.

But given the nasty sliminess we've seen in the past 4 years...with emphasis on Iraq...should President Kerry call for a Special Prosecutor to investigate potential crimes committed by the Bush Adminstration (and please don't flame me for using the word "potential". To be fair, the rule of law in this country is a person is innocent until proven guilty)

I, for one, think the taxpayers will get their money's worth with a Special Prosecutor this time around.

1. Only if the Congress is Democratic as well
Otherwise, it won't work.

2. I would rather see Kerry let The International Court
Try Bush & his gang. I think we would get better results!

3. I agree...
Hopefully the punishment would be the same as was meted out at Nuremberg for the Nazis!

4. He should just lock bush and cronies up
as 'enemy combatants' without trial, without charges, indefinately......

Of course I don't really mean that. He should be tried then locked up indefinitely.

5. Yes. Employing a Special Prosecutor is the way to go.
Given that the Special Prosecutor investigation for the Plame affair seems to be reaching some interesting conclusions, I believe the process is viable, even without a Democratic majority in Congress.

The only path that is unacceptable to me would be for Kerry to take no action on the horrendous number of crimes committed by the bush cabal.

I have qualms about the International Court -- the precedent established by having a former president before that body would be dangerous and could have serious untenable consequences if the ICC becomes and agent of forces unfriendly to the US.
