Why does Bobby Kennedy Jr.
sound like Martin Short's impersonation of Katherine Hepburn?

I love this guy - would he be more effective with some voice coaching?

1. Why does it matter?
Bush sounds like a porcupine in heat.

Which matters more? Sound bite quality, or quality of ideas?

4. it's an important detail for a public figure
I know Bobby has been through the wringer with heroin, so he will probably never be a political representative, but he is becoming an effective voice in commentary. I was just wondering if he could strengthen himself by working on a stronger, more assertive voice, especially since he is now in radio and that is the main thing.

11. His voice is fine for preaching to the choir. But for picking up new...
listeners, it can be a turn off.

2. Kennedy's voice
Voice coaching won't help, RFK Jr. has a voice disorder.

3. That would be on par for the Kennedys..They've all been the coaching route
Jack, especially..

The heavily Massachusetts accented "I'm going to pock my cahhr" didn't resonate very easily with voters...The accent was always there, Jack just made sure he elecuted properly when giving speeches.

8. Years ago, I worked retail and this former Bostonian Lady would come
into the store and demand "A caaahtin of Caaahltin."

It took a while for me to recognize her (hey, I saw on average 500 people a day), and from that time on I understood what she was asking for.

But until I did, she would be highly insulted and angry that I couldn't understand that "a caaahtin of Caaahltin" was, in fact, "carton of Carlton" cigarettes...

5. It's obvious he has some sort of voice disorder
I give him credit for doing a radio gig despite that. We need this guy.

6. I asked if he had parkinsons
because that is how he sounds. But someone told me he has some problem with his vocal cords.
