We actually did it...this guy put up a serious poll with serious choices

The last two polls this guy has put up have been completely biased with no real choice. Today when I go to his webpage to look at what he's given us, it's actually a real poll with a real question that requires some real thought...I'm impressed. Maybe we should tell him that.

It kind of makes it boring...

1. I'm always in favor of positive feedback / reinforcement
His statements on the site indicate that he doesn't consider himself to be a blowhard like O'Lielly who will just lie in your face and has no regard for honesty or facts. Don't know if it's true but this development certainly paints a rosy picture.

I think if we open a dialogue with people like this, thoughtful people, then we can start to mend the rift that divides this country.

Sure we won't ever agree on everything (we can't even do that amongst ourselves, in either party), but getting as close to a consensus as possible on issues which affect us all -- like healthcare, foreign policy, etc. -- is an important goal IMO.

4. Well, even as he says that, he blames the split on Liberals
Bruce says, "I view myself as a conservative who welcomes opposing viewpoints. However, over the past decade, there has been a change in the rhetoric employed by the left, and that has made a genuine exchange of perspectives and ideas across political lines much more difficult. It’s not easy to talk with someone who instinctively resorts to personal attacks or name calling instead of advancing a political philosophy. While I sometimes think that the real problem is the left’s lack of a cohesive political philosophy to advance, I’m committed to that exchange wherever I can find it."

Rush and Cheney and Gingrich et al had nothing to do with any of that, now did they?

6. I know a LOT of people who still think it's all the liberals' fault
everything is. or Clinton's. Nothing is EVER the fault of God's Own Party, right?

:puke:

The thing with this guy is that at least he's trying. Hard to find that these days.
