The ONLY way that 9-11 will ever be fully understood
Edited on Thu Jun-17-04 02:53 PM by SoCalDem
would be to have 2 panels, both partisan, explore all the possibilities.. Each will bring out the side that favors THEIR cause..

When all the subpoaenas are issued, and all the testimony taken, all the information would then be turned over to a committee consisting of the "survivors", foreign press, and various experts in the fields that are touched..

The data would then be analyzed, and a final report prepared.. All the data would have to be fact-checked and verified before any of it could be published in the final report..

The TOUGH questions would get asked, and even the "non-answers" would be in the proper context.. People who are deliberately evasive would be exposed..

The dog and pony show that we have now, will come to this conclusion:

Bad/evil people did a bad/evil thing, and "no one could have ever ever imagined what they did".. Everybody was wrong....except our glorious, brave president.....More money will make us safer, and we really don't have to change our foreign pollicy, or learn anything about the rest of the world, becase we are wonderful , caring people, who were "done wrong"..

1. I disagree...
Boith sides are interested in covering up the truth, bith sides are owned by the Corp/Miltary/Industrial Complex.

We need an INDEPENDENT inquiry.

2. Yeah like some victim's family members
Of course they would be biased in wanting to know the reason their loved one's died, but hey, that's the point.

The truth. This country can't handle the truth.

3. The only way to have each side's flaws exposed, is to have
their opponents do it.. Once ALL the laundry is hung out to dry, we can sort out truth from lies..

The final panel who would "vet" the information, peobably knows/would know more anyway, and would be able to call people back to testify to them..

There needs to be MORE....this panel was all about LESS..

I bet the survivors are so frustrated they are about to explode.. THEY should have been able to question people too..

4. The elites that run the Parties aren't opponents...
They work hand in glove, they are one party in reality.

They play both sides against the middle.

Witness Lee Hamilton, a Democrat, and his vital role in helping to cover up the truth behind Iran Contra AND 9-11...

5. True.. I wish it were not so, but I think you are right
I guess we will NEVER know what happened and why.. That's a damn shame..It will happen again, and we will be wringing our hands again.:(..

If we only had a press corps and an honest congress, things might be different.:(

6. I agree with you in principle,
but what constitutes "independent"?

7. Why stop at just two panels?
There are a lot more than two versions of what happened that day.

8. What about the civil trial
seems a trial by jury could get to the bottom of it as long as those in the administration can be forced to testify.
