Former Sen. Wyche Fowler (D-Ga) on "Hardball." I have a question.
Wyche was my Congressman when I lived in Atlanta in the 70s. I semi-knew Wyche socially (through a cousin who knew him well). I loved Wyche. Then he was elected to the Senate (after I left ATL). I cannot remember if he was a one-termer, or two (I think one).

My question: "Hardball," Tweety-less tonight BTW, introduced Wyche as a former ambassador to Saudi Arabia. Damn. How did I miss that? When? Must have been under President Clinton. Any details? What kind of job did Ambassador Fowler do? How do DUers regard this Georgia Democrat? He is younger than Sam Nunn (hint-hint).

3. Paul Coverdale. And lookee here:
Following the sudden death of Georgia Senator Paul Coverdale (who secured the Georgia Senate seat for the GOP in 1992), Georgia Governor Roy Barnes (D) appointed former governor Zell Miller (once candidate Clinton’s advance man in Georgia and nominator of Bill Clinton at the 1992 Democratic Convention) to fill the Coverdale vacancy. Miller also agreed to run for the remainder of the term in a special election this November.

I tripped over this gem. Zig-Zag Zell nominated Bill Clinton at the 1992 Democratic Convention? Zowee-zapster Zell! When did he go over to the dark side?

4. Zell Miller gave a GREAT speech at the 1992 Dem convention
I think it was Clinton's nominating speech if you can believe it. Fowler is someone GA can be proud of - Miller is not.

2. eew--James Hirsen dissing Michael Moore (same show)
oh, so many facts wrong! He staged things! It's a mockumentary!

These accusations have been refuted. But the cablenets won't tell their viewers about that.

What garbage. The GOP gets their shills on these shows but there's no opportunity for a rebuttal or a factcheck. And he admits he hasn't seen the movie. What a travesty.

Talk about lack of professionalism in journalism (they accused Michael of that)
