Did "Osama, et al" lead us into a snare in Iraq? If one was a Military
Strategist, wouldn't one do a big book on this?

There we have Osama the son of Powerful Family, who hates his Pappy, because he had too many wives and was too wealthy from building all those roads in the Middle East, and he ignores little "osama."

Here we have Chimp(son of the Snake) who is the son of a Powerful Family, who hates his Pappy, because he excelled in sports better than he did, and was a President. His Pappy made all that money through his oil connections and from that guy who built the roads and yet he invaded the Middle East, but didn't take out Saddam?

Two "SONS" who have major Freudian problems with their "Pappy." But Osama see this...sees what they have in common and LURES the CHIMP into Iraq so that he can have a big "crack up" which turns many against the West.

Tar Baby Scenario? (Joel Chandler Harris) or Freud? Whatever, it seems we "took the bait" and we are stuck in the Middle East forever.
The French and Germans knew..and the Brits (before Blair) knew...but Osama is a REALLY CLEVER GUY! Outfoxed us he did...

1. They would have invaded Iraq no matter what...
It was their obsession from day one and before. There was no "luring."

2. I say yes
Hook, line and sinker.Iraqs' history against invaders didn't bode well for invasion.

3. Chalabi sure played 'em for fools.
They sure aren't the sharpest tools in the shed.

the ground work for 9/11 started a long time before it happened. I would say OBL out foxed us big time.

6. Here's what's pissing me off about it. We watched Osama take down
the Soviet Union by expending their resources in Afghnanistan. We even helped him do it.

Then we turn right around, and fall in the same damn pit. It really pisses me off. How long can we afford Iraq? Ten years? Hell no.

While we delude ourselves with glory over the fable that it was Reagan who broke the Soviet Union, Bin Laden gets to feel like he's toppled the two world superpowers. We underestimate the "messiah" like power this gives him from their point of view.
