2. He was a fireman for 40 years who was in the WTC
And his son, a fireman too, was also there. His son died; he, of course, did not.

He called her and thanked her deeply for what she was doing, and told her that he tells everyone he can to listen to her, so that they can get the truth of what is happening in the world. His voice has such sadness and gratitude and decency and dignity, it was almost hard to hold back tears.

She herself sounded like she was about to cry

3. He said
that he was at ground zero on 911 and he also lost his son that day. And he thanked Randi for everything she is doing.

4. Tosca, my favorite Opera
He basically said thank you for what you do and he was a LIHOPer. He said we have to know what happened. He was on duty that day and so was his son. But his son was killed.

5. It was very moving.
Did you hear the veteran who called in to Franken today? He was all choked up and almost in tears telling Franken that he and Air America are the true patriots. He said that he has had to wait 9 months to get hearing aids. Bush has cut too many veterans health benefits. Truly moving.

It may have been the best radio I have ever listened to. He was an NYFD vet of 40 years, his son was a fireman as well, and he lost him on 9/11 in the towers. It was her last caller of the show, Randi said she was gonna cry, I already was...
