Well, at least I'm not in this one - just a disembodied voice at the end.

But its got oranges! And alertness. Constant alertness.

Edited on Fri Jun-18-04 10:25 PM by thebigidea
For months I watched the Ari Fleischer/Rumsfeld press conferences followed by Stooge shorts on AMC - the perfect antidote. Cleanses the sinuses.

I was horrified when some guy named "Donnie Deutsch" or something got a show on CNBC called that. I think its been cancelled since.

It was cancelled. The Stooge shorts certainly make more sense than Rummy or Ari (although I do miss him, Scottie is singularly unwatchable).
On edit: And speaking of Stooge shorts, they are going to be colorized and re-released on DVD. Not a good idea (the colorization part, not the DVD part. I'm glad for the DVDs, my tapes are practically worn out.)

Edited on Fri Jun-18-04 11:29 PM by thebigidea
family gatherings must be a real blast.

BARR: "LBJ is still alive... his brain is operating out of a jar in Argentina."

SCOTT: "The American People know that this is a President focused on security for all Central and South American peoples, provided they cooperate in the War on Terror. No further questions."

BARR: "Confound it, you've been at my medicines again, haven't you?"

MEDICLELLAN: "I'm afraid I'm doing this for your own good, Dad."

Would make for an immedeately-cancelled sitcom.

SCOTT: "Ari, is that you? I see your nose is still stuffed up."

MYSTERIOUS FIGURE: "Its my sinuses. Anyway, the American People understand that the President will be presenting you with a series of possible scenarios concerning your future. Next question, Helen."

HELEN THOMAS: "Ari, why are you haunting Scott McClellan?"

MYSTERIOUS FIGURE: "The ratings are doing very poorly, Helen. This is a President that understands the need for a sympathetic weekly sitcom featuring his Press Secretary."

SCOTT: "We'll be right back after these messages from my doublechin."

43. The perils of outdoor living
We have the great world beyond the front door for our cat box. Our orange tabby came up missing because of it. Mostly we have found our cats like to spend more time outside than inside anyway.

But our orange tabby was a real traveler so one time he left and just never showed up again :-(. The new black one(named buddy) we have now, is better in ways. He wondered in just like all the rest but he is nothing like the other two wild ones that hang around now, he is much more well behaved. Buddy was a welcome stranger after Larry left for parts unknown :-)

42. Great art!
You guys have been entertaining me for a long time with such great political art! Every time a Freeper sends me one of those disgusting RW emails, I am compelled to photoshop the Hell out of it and send it back, en masse.

I just joined DU today, and I haven't figured out how to upload my art work. I checked the FAQ, but there was no suggestions as to where or how I could find a free upload site. Though I'm a musician, I'm starting to do more visual work lately because I am SOOO FUCKING PISSED at Bush&Co. and all their supporters - I cannot help myself but respond with ascerbic and satirical renditions of their beloved fascist leaders.

45. Hi thebigidea
How do you upload your JPGs? The DU FAQ didn't list upload sites and I haven't the time to design my own website (too busy learning Final Cut Pro and going to grad school, not to mention playing music).

This butthole sent me a a shitty joke about "Kerry's new NAVY" with a JPG that I totally twisted... the one GOOD thing is these idiots tend to bulk email, so I can send my response to dozens of Freepers and RW nutjobs. Ha ha ha! What maroons!

By the way, I like your website.
