7:00 a.m. C-Span WashJnl- 9/11 report.
Repug: I love Bush, and Clinton had 8 years of saying nothing.

Another old guy: if GW would have shot all of them planes, and them (referring to Liberals) would say those kidnappers were innocent and the weren't doing nothing.... (English not a strong suit for this guy).

Lamb said (when somebody pointed that he had a lot more people pushing for the war on the eve of going to war with Iraq) that at that time people who were opposed WERE RELUCTANT TO SPEAK AGAINST IT...and then Lamb says... I don't know the reason for the reluctance but that was the way it was. ARE YOU KIDDING ME? He doesn't know why? BECAUSE WE WERE CALLED UNPATRIOTIC, YELLOW-BELLIED LIBERALS, AND THREATENED!!!!

1. A caller said that Democrats were pro-war before the war and that
is why the majority of the interviewees were pro-war... (my note: I am embarrassed to have to agree with the caller to an extent)

19. RW caller upset about Kerrey's facial expression when Rice was
talking and that he was shaking his head... that is mild, I WAS SCREAMING MY HEAD OF and saying a stream of bad words! They let her get away with MURDER (literally).

terrorism.

Another woman: if they shot the planes they could have fallen on other areas of the city and made it worse. She is MAKING UP EXCUSES. One thing that was obvious from the report is that they were not prepared to shoot them down... not because they worried about the people underneath but either because of a stand-down order or total ineptitud.

3. USA today: truth: about Iraq war (I guess according to them).
1) WMD main reason to go to war
2) they didn't say that Iraq was involved 9/11 but they had connections.
3) failure to find WMD is what makes the premise involved in going to war doubtful.

8. Caller: Bush has run this country like a Texas barbeque.
How does Bush screw in a light bulb: standing on a pyramid of naked bodies.
The next caller is really upset. Bush supporter: this morning there has been more thinking but people need to justify their arguments otherwise it reflects on the caller's candidate (that makes sense).

that shows just how ignorant these people are. Seriously, they represent a failure of our educational system.

17. A lot of them are mouse potatoes/phone warriors
in public they're Caspar Milquetoast: they wouldn't raise a peep when confronted.

But there are also the dangerous freeps that become unhinged with any kind of confrontation. They belong in their own little American Taliban country. As long as it's not in Massachusetts...

buck down to what they want.
We had every reason to believe in WMD... Iraq is a big country, and we will find more (I guess WMDs?)

Felzenberg, Alvin, Deputy, National Cmsn. on Terrorist Attacks, Communications

Background: academic in political science. Sauter helper, but other people have worked with democrats.
He worked for the Heritage Foundation (RWinger...even Lamb recognizes that). But it is a bipartisan commission and a non partisan staff.

Aviation group: workers from McCain AND McClellan.

20. Caller: Congress could not put the commission together.
If it were not for the 9/11 families the commission would not have been formed.
CIA and DoD as third parties. The Iraq war was conducted for investors in order to make profits.

21. RW: why didn't they wait for the results until after the election.
She minded Gorelick's participation on the commission... (this is because of Ashcroft's declassifying the documents IN OPEN MEETINGS).

24. You're Doing Too Good A Job...Notice Today's Meme?
This one had to be a think-tank month-long project:

"If the planes were shot down, the "libruls" would have raised lawsuits and said there was no such plot"...

How low can they go? I don't think we've even seen them start heading down into the deep portion of their cesspool yet!
