Who in their right mind... would recommend Mr Corruption Cheney
to be the "best candidate" for Vice President, and allow him a heart beat away from nuclear codes and gazillions in contracting money for his pockets?

Oh that's right... it was Cheney himself?

Time to pull that story back out - about Cheney "nominating himself" for top vice dog spot behind Bush.

1. Maybe in a Dan Quayle way...
...in that no one has the balls to kill Bush as long as Cheney is the one who will replace him.

6. Might be why others went a long with it
(as well as ensuring that some machevellian Intelligence is advising the bushbaby) - but doubt that is why he nominated himself. A powergrab - pure and simple... completely consistent with his corrupt track record.

Wouldn't it be interesting to see stories about defense spending and procurement under HIS watch as Sec of Defense? Wouldn't it be interesting to have seen more coverage of Halliburton's financial dealings with IRaq - skirting sanctions and allowing Hussein to increase his $$ by rebuilding his oilfields - all done UNDER CHENEY?

No doubt the signs of corruption were there long before he stepped into the Whitehouse... but the coverage was nil. Time to trot it out - as well as trotting out that mr corruption himself named himself to be VP - a corrupt powergrab that looks more like third worldl country politics than what the average american is used to seeing (or being aware of) here in the good ole US.

3. He was probably well aware that presidential papers would be released
from administrations he served under. Notice how that was the first order of business when the chimp took office? Had to protect those papers with a presidential directive.

He had some previous corruption to cover up, and some wars to start. That is why is chose himself.

8. Good one... worth repeating...
The president of vice, who named himself as vice president. Catchy song could follow that little opening line...
