Is it possible to be Pro Logging and Pro Life at the same time?

When you stop and think about it the great majority of life on earth lives in the forests. When we chop down the forests we kill a great multitude of beings. Or does Pro Life only mean Human Life? :shrug: Just another one of the inconsistencies that permeate everyday life. I have come to the conclusion that they are really Anti-Abortion and have no real interest in saving life at all. Just a Power Trip. It seems to me most Pro Lifers are conservatives who back Bush* and also back the tobacco companies who deal in death and also back the death penalty and the war machine.

Not to get preachy here, but I believe in God and therefore believe that humans have an eternal soul. Does that mean I advocate abusing and torturing animals, who I feel are inferior to humans? Of course not. Respecting all life is not the same as equating animals with humans.

American Indians are usually portrayed as being "in tune" with nature and who respected the Earth, yet they hunted animals for food and other uses.

For me, the matter of being Pro-Life or Pro-abortion is not relevent in this discussion. I can be Pro-abortion and still think humans cannot be equated with animals.

9. IMHO the earth is a living organism

Humans are doing every thing in their power to kill it. Is that a Pro Life position?
