Putty-toot AGAIN comes to shrub's defense
I'm a little confused by this one ... last week it was Putin denouncing Democrats for attacking Putin's boy and suddenly when the 9/11 commission denounces the (mis)administration on its attempts to link Iraq to al Queda Putin suddenly remembers that "oh yeah, our intelligence agents discovered a number of plans to attack the U.S. and we sent those reports to the (mis)administration". Well fine, putty-toot, but if that's true why wasn't that intelligence passed on to the 9/11 commission also? How inept can one communist be. And what's up with shrub needing putty-toot to pull his ass out of the fire and lie for him?!? Like American voters are receptive to the former-KGB chief cum president of Russia providing an alibi for shrub!? Is the world completely upside-down with this latest up-is-downism?

4. Then where the hell are the Russian troops?
If Pooty had evidence that Iraq could launch a terror attack against the U.S, why were they against sending troops into Iraq before the war? Wouldn't he have backed the Shrub in the U.N?

6. Timing of this info couldn't be more suspicious.
Seems to me that if Cheney/Bush lose on this -- if people are finally convinced that there is no connection between Iraq and 911 -- then there are **no** more justifications for the war, and the election is probably lost. So they're fighting hard. It's their last big thing.

I imagine a phone call went out recently offering something in exchange for Putin making this announcement. It's possible there was a little whisper of intelligence, but seems likely this is about shoring up the administration's claims, nothing else.

And wait... didn't Bush himself claim Saddam had nothing to do with 911?
