Will Iraq behead Saddam Hussein in our name?

What is going to happen when we turn over Saddam? My feeling is that * wants retribution and wants him exectuted, but needs the political insulation of saying that his fate is in the hands of the Iraqi citizens.

Is beheading the chosen form of capital punishment in Iraq? I think it may be.

So by turning him over to the Iraqi government, isn't * just asking them to do his bidding? We all know how * feels about capital punishement.

So will we as a country allow this to happen in our name? Will Americans gather around the TV and watch it live as some sort of twisted retribution for the beheadings of Berg and Johnson?

Not trying to be grim, it's a real issue that we will have to consider.

The "Iraqi Government" is no different that the government the Soviets installed in Afghanistan in the 1970's. It's a puppet. It's a joke. There is no legitimate Iraqi government. There is only the United States and its lackeys. This was an illegitimate war. That makes the new "government" just as illegitimate.
