This Putin statement about Iraq attacking U.S.sank like a rock
I guess after the media took a step back and realized how stupid the story was, they decided to abandon the silly story.

1. Of course, it did.

Everyone wants to know why Bush* never mentioned this.

Another thing people want to know today: If Bush* has such a fabulous relationship with the Saudis, why did he let those mean people decapitate that American? Also, why are gas prices so high?

8. Right, why haul it out NOW???
Why not use it to bolster all their lies about why we were going to war before the invasion?

Nah, it stinks to high heaven. My guess is that it was a complete fabrication, as so much of what comes out of this increasingly desperate administration is.

3. I think the Putin story was overshadowed
by Johnson's beheading.

When I turned on CNN this morning, the spin I got was that Putin had been in the KGB and would know what he was talking about etc.

I personally think that Shrub promised Putin something at the G8 conference if Putin would back Shrub up. Putin is still mad about Clinton going into Kosovo because Clinton's success in Kosovo made Checyna (sp?) more difficult for the Russians.

4. My Question
If Putin warned the U.S. about Saddam before the war why did he not send troops to Iraq. It seems to me if Putin thought that Saddam was such a bad person he would have supported the war wholeheartedly. Instead I believe he was one of the people who was against the war.

6. Putin's answer...
They opposed the war based on "international law", not on whether or not Saddam was a bad guy. So, despite what they knew, or claimed to know and passed on to Bush, they didn't support the war for entirely separate reasons.

Hey, with friends like that...

7. I am still p*ssed about that.
It is still on CNN, MSNBC, Yahoo, and other news websites.

In the State of the Union, before the war, did Bush say "we have credible evidence from our friends from Russia that Iraq is planning terrorist attacks? F*ck no.

How much of our hard-earned taxes we paid in April is going to Putin?

9. Pooty-poot really is a soulmate, isn't he?
Brothers in despotism, he and Junior were made for each other. Besides the fact that Putin's pretty smart, they've got a lot in common. This just smacks of an attempt by a pal to bolster a fellow tyrant's wicked ways.

10. Knowing just how stupid bush is, Putin is setting us up ....
the whole thing smells like a rotten fish. It could be too, that bush paid off Putin so that he could use the line.... saddam was a bad man...putin told me so.

Putin benefits from having the US in this mess. Nobody is looking at what Putin is doing behind our backs. Are we safer now? Can you hear me now?
