They have this plastered all over google today. I can not believe it would be an issue or would even be the top article. It is just silly to think it should matter.

SNIP..."At 6-foot-5 and some 260 pounds, Torin Nelson looks like he wouldn't have much trouble scaring someone to talk. His eyes are deep set and pale blue; he talks slowly, with a quiet voice that you need to sometimes strain to hear.
A professional interrogator, Nelson brought his skills to Iraq to ask questions and convince prisoners to open up. Now he's the one doing the talking - helping investigators who are conducting a broad review of military intelligence operations."
He describes how he would like to continue talking out, but that his connection with Dean would cause problems. This is a shame when Dean has just told the truth.
SNIP... "Nelson wants to keep speaking out about his experience, and feels his background and status as a witness, but not a suspect, puts him in a good position to do so. However, he is concerned that some campaign work he did for former Democratic presidential candidate Howard Dean might be used against him by people who see him as anti-Bush administration......"
Here is an article about the campaigning he did for Dean in Utah.

One Utahn walks to raise money and awareness for presidential hopeful Howard Dean.
SNIP..."Utahn Torin Nelson and presidential hopeful Howard Dean don’t seem to have a lot in common.
At 6 feet 5 inches tall, Nelson, 35, is nearly a foot taller than the 53-year-old ex-governor of Vermont, and he weighs almost twice as much. A generation gap accounts for dissimilar tastes in music and clothing. Dean’s a doctor and Nelson’s a soldier in the Utah Army National Guard. And they don’t sound similar either, unless you’re talking politics. But if you’re talking politics, Nelson is pretty close to the real Dean......."
This is all over google, and just seems odd he would not be considered credible....or that it would be mentioned who he campaigned for. I will bet if he campaigned for someone else it would not even come up.
