LIHOP2-Admin execs were warned a month in advance that commercial flights were not safe, Ashcroft quit flying commercial in July 2001

In May 2001 the U.S. State Department met with Iran, German and Italian officials to discuss Afghanistan. It was decided that the ruling Taliban would be toppled and a "broad-based government" would control the country so a gas pipeline could be built there.

17. Put options

Someone knew it was going to happen and bought Put Options on American and United Airlines stock. The statistical evidence showing the increase as extremely unusual is convincing.
Was it the terrorists who bought that stock? We will never know because the incident was swept under the rug.
