Is Sen.McCain "being courted by Dem. J.Kerry to be his running mate" ?
Earthlink has this in a statement about an article about McCain sucking op to Bush in Arizona. Boy what disappointing little BUTT KISSER McCain has turned out to be. But,back to my question: Is John F.Kerry seeking Sen.McCain as his running mate. It seems to this Democrat that we wealth a of candidates within our ranks and should stay far away from that ASS KISSER McCAIN. ...Oscar

6. I have lost any respect for McCain that I ever had
Bush has treated him like shit, but McCain still campaigns for him.

11. True, but that's what politicians do
They get over being screwed and wait for their chance to move up.
When Bush loses, McCain could end up as the leader of the Repubs. That wouldn't be all bad because Kerry can do business with him.
Let's just hope he is a half-hearted campaigner and has no real effect on the outcome.

3. I think the notion he was seeking John McCain as VP
is media driven with the script coming straight from the WH.

7. I also think this notion serves Kerry well.
If people thinks he considered tapping McCain, Kerry looks like a "uniter" - unlike a certain "divider."

10. Yes, it does help. Kerry is looking better
and better by the day, especially to swing voters.

4. aaaaaaaaaaaaaaackkkkkkk!
Have you been away from DU? We have discussed this and no one agrees.
My opinion, yes he did and I think it was a dumb idea. It was insulting to democrats and makes him look like he was rejected by McCain which he was.
Others will be long to tell you why it was a great stategy. But in either case it is over.

8. God this thing has legs out there
Regardless of the veracity (which I doubt) of this little bit of disinformation, it has taken root in the RW community and it seems everything they spout now is peppered with references to Kerry's wannabe running mate. And we know full well that it doesn't matter whether something is true or not, what matters is that it has a chance to engrain itself in the psyche of the public conciousness. Kerry should do all he can to dispel this bullshit.

14. Why is Chelsea Clinton so ugly?
Because Janet Reno is her real father - John McCain, yukking it up in a speech to his Republican colleagues.

17. Today's Washington Post...

... which I spotted this morning featured a large, front-page photo of McCain and Bush in a bear hug, with Dubya sporting a big goofy grin on his face. The photo was so repugnant I opted for the local paper instead.

This ought to dispel any foolish notions some folks had about Az's warmongering homophobe becoming Kerry's VP -- thank goodness!
