He never seems to come right out and say so, but testing my impression versus yours. Is he trying to say that Bin Laden was the heroin end of supply deal with the mob, in which people like Atta were pilot couriers (except that they apparently had their own agenda)? And when 911 happened, FBI deliberately lied because of wanting to hush up the drug connection, thus manufacturing a fake cover story of religious extremism for Atta?

plus, we're talking about groups like Al Qaeda and the Taliban in Afghanistan and Pakistan - probably THE biggest drug supplies and distributors on the planet. CIA and FBI have been caught protecting drug dealers and manufacturers.

But I've never read "Welcome to Terrorland".

Cut me slack, TinFoilHat folks who are versed in this, as I wrap mind around whether, in fact, the reasons for 911 and/or investigation shenanigans involve covering up the CIA/FBI drug connections.
Seems to me this would be like the Mafia running the country, and also seems to corroborate what Ms Edmunds has alluded to.

But, on Atta. If the premise that he was a religious fundamentalist (which he apparently was not if he ate pork, used coke and went to strip bars)is not why he and the others flew out on a suicide mission, then why?

I cannot, at the moment, answer your question.

But what is clear to me is that anybody who claims that 9/11 was just accomplished by 19 Arabs because they hated America is omitting a lot of contradicting details.

Now, here on DU, a lot of posts pop up after the most recent staff reports of the 9/11 commission, saying that, after all, the 9/11 plot happened more or less as it was sold to us. Hopsicker shows that many interesting questions were not addressed at all by the commission.
