Right? He only made it to where he did by his dad's connections which were all made or solidified under Saint Reagan's rule - the last time the US government became corrupt.

5. Raygun and Bu$h are both the hell-spawn of big business --

Raygun spent years as a GE shill, not only pitching their products but going around to their plants giving "the speech" to try & convince the workers to drop their unions and vote Rethugnican.

After 20 years of giving "the speech" for GE, Raygun was ready to run for governor of California -- with major backing from GE and other big defense contractors.

And GE and Jack Welch were big backers of Dubya in 2000. Along with Enron, Halliburton, etc. And it was Jack Welch who personally ordered NBC to call the election for Bu$h -- the other networks soon followed suit.

The Rethug tradition of empty-shell front-men goes back at least to Richard Nixon. Nixon first entered politics when a group of rich California businessmen put what amounted to an employment ad in the paper to find a front-man to run against Jerry Voorhees for Congress -- and do their bidding once elected. They chose Nixon -- as one of them later remarked, "He was the best of a bad lot."

Nixon's campaign against Voorhees set a new standard for Rethugnican filth -- tho' Nixon and subsequent Rethugs have long since eclipsed it.
