Anybody See Pee-Pee Pants Matt Laurer Interview Michael Moore?
Such an apologist for G.E. ! Basically followed the GE/RNC talking points that MM is a madman that MUST be censored!

Needs to be pimp-slapped by K. Couric immediately :argh:

6. Lauer was uncharacteristically nasty
In fact, I've never seen him so openly hostile to somebody he was interviewing. Moore deflected the nastiness neatly, and came off as a much nicer guy (which he probably is).

Lauer is dumb as a box of rocks left to his own devices. He was obviously "prepared" for this interview by knuckledraggers who wanted to "show up" Moore as an evil propagandist, out to destroy a good man in the pResidency. All it did was make Lauer look like a rattlesnake and Moore look like a teddy bear.

The tried and true expression is "There is no such thing as bad publicity." Stuff like this will make people very curious about the movie, and boost the attendance. Even the people who usually shut their eyes and stick their fingers in their ears are going to be tempted to sneak in to see it, to see what the fuss is all about.

2. I thought is was a waste of time, I like the way they cut Moore
off everytime he wanted to expain an answer in detail.. it was an embarrassment for journalists all over, I have a new regard for Matt he's a complete moron. I never liked his interviews they are a complete waste as I said, He should stick to entertainers and leave it at that. He's good at asking the most irrelevant questions that make you walk away and say WTF?????? lol

4. I saw the interview
and I couldn't help but wonder why on earth hard questions aren't asked of this administration by reporters. Why do they let Bush and his "superiors" get off so easily? They refuse to answer questions. But Matt Lauer made sure that MM wasn't going to get by without answering his pressing questions. I thought he held up very well under the grilling.

5. Don't like Laurererererer..
I thought, however, it was a good opportunity for Moore to turn the tables on him. He did very well.

7. Lauer made one good point
that if Michael Moore had footage of soliders sexually abusing prisoners he could have come forward with that information much earlier if he was truly concerned about their well-being. However, Moore also had a good point -- why hasn't anyone given Bush an interview like that?

8. Did you see Moore's reaction?
He gave Lauer a "who the hell are you kidding?" look when Lauer suggested the footage be given to the media. Moore made a great point about how the media are no longer trustworthy when it comes to reporting stories unflattering to Bush.

Remember, 60 Minutes sat on that story for WEEKS at the request of the White House, and only when someone else threatened to break it first did they schedule and air it.

Lauer's only point is the one on his head.

10. Did you see Moore on Letterman
a little later on the same day? When faced with an interviewer who gave him time to explain(Letterman), and who didn't just mindlessly bark out the repug talking points that his staff had prepared for him, Moore did much better. He talked about the abuse that he'd seen, and as I recall, described it as fairly minor, not like most of the photos we've seen that prove that this administration engaged in torture. Also, he said that he supports the troops and did not want to turn the public against them, when this obviously was originating from the top. He also mentioned not trusting the media to handle it correctly, and got a huge amount of applause.
