Was I dreaming? Or does Condie Rice have a sister?

12. minority voters

It is a BIG mistake for the Democratic Party to take minorities for granted and just assume that their votes "belong to us"

I personally know blacks, hispanics, Chinese Americans and native Americans who are attracted to the philosophies of the R party but have stuck with the D mostly because of tradition.

We cannot rely on tradition to keep people in the party. We need to really think about pursuing a progressive agenda that will meet the needs of minority voters. Otherwise--more minorities will leave our party. We need to get with it and DO things for these people, instead of just counting on their vote year after year and then ignoring their concerns.
