Arizona (major swingstate) apparently showing tie between * and Kerry

According to Edward's map on his site, if everyone voted exactly the same as they did in 2000 with the exception of Gore winning Arizona, Gore would be sitting in the Oval Office today as president even with Bush stealing Florida.

Check out the map here:

So let's go Arizona DU'ers we need to get the word out as to how much that illiterate rube has fucked over our state and our country, our vote will make a major difference in this year's elections!

1. Arizonan here
I think this state will go Democrat this year but not without work or effort. Good news, I think Kerry can take this state.

2. I'm sure he can take it too
We just need to get off our asses and get the vote out and get our families and friends to get it out too.

If we can someone like Napolitano to win for gov then surely we can pull off a Kerry victory here. Just a matter of getting the votes out.

4. Exactly
There are so many people here who voted for Bush who are leaning dem this year. Get the word out and open some people's eyes about this President, but I think more and more people are realizing how incompetent he really is.

5. Well this year I don't care if you're displaying the Sun Devil

(I'm in Tucson and just about to grad from the UofA)

We're all in this together Az brother :) Yea but seriously I think Az is starting to either get more liberal or more people from Cali moving down here, dunno what's up, but I think as a majority we're liberal leaning, we just gotta get everyone we can out there.

I'm taking a handful of friends who aren't typically politically motivated to vote and stuff to farenheit 9/11, and I have two cousins who have lived in Nogales for their whole lives who moved to Tucson to live with my aunt. Unfortunately only one of them is voting age, but after taking him out to dinner one night he revealed to me (rather loudly hehe) that he hates Bush and wants him gone.

I can't understand any fellow Hispanic out here that wants to see Bush win again, and as you know he has to capture that vote if he wants any hope of taking Az.

The way I see it, Bush won't take Az pure and simple. I'll be surprised if he even comes close.

3. This is great news

For Kerry to be within the margin of error in a state Bush won by 6 in 2000 is excellent. And if you factor in undecideds, he might even be ahead.

Check how well Kerry is doing among independents. He's leading 45-28. That's huge.
