Hail to the Moon king (Rev. Moon Coronated in Congress) WTF???
http://www.salon.com/news/feature/2004/06/21/moon/index_np.html

The deeply weird coronation of Rev. Sun Myung Moon in a Senate office building -- crown, robes, the works -- is no longer one of Washington's best-kept secrets.

June 21, 2004 | You probably imagine your congressman hard at work in the Capitol debating legislation, making laws -- you know, governing. But your newspaper probably didn't tell you that one night last March, members of Congress hosted a crowning ritual for an ex-convict multi-billionaire who dressed up in maroon robes and declared himself the Second Coming.

:wtf:

2. This story just pisses me off to no end!
Surely there is a media outlet that is not controlled by that stupid Moon nut. Why isn't this getting reported? And those congress people who attended should be thrown out on their asses!

3. Well in fairness
The article makes it clear that the meeting wasn't advertised as a coronation but as a meeting for peace or some other noble goal. Some may have been duped.

But the media not reporting it, you are right, that is a bit crap.

4. check out my account of my conversation with Danny Davis's aide
a very unsatisfying discussion to me. I like Davis, his voting record is excellent imo, but this thing is not right, especially since he's so secretive about it.

This is just wrong. I'm glad that my tax dollars have helped pay for ritual space for this freakish caricature of a monarchy I thought we had abandoned. What the hell is going on.. Down the rabbit hooooooollllllleeee

6. Kick
This needs to be passed around to Congress Critters.

If they're not pissed about this, they should be.
