"Peace, Propaganda / Promised Land" FSTV
This was a good show. It had a lot of compare and contrast with US News and BBC News that showed exactly how the US audience is manipulated. I.E. US News saying that Isreal retaliates (always defensive, not offensive).

Also - many Jews for peace and that sort of thing.

"I think Israel is in the White House". - Robert Fisk

By a 94 to 2 vote - Congress endorsed what Isreal is doing.

It is being re-shown this afternoon and this evening. Maybe other times...

3. The Likud is in the White House
Sharon's policies never get such lopsided votes in Israel,
Likud seems to have far more support in the US than anywhere else.

The real reason for that is the Armegeddon contingent of the Fundie Xtians,
or course,
and their eventual plans for Israel aren't very nice at all.

4. The democrats have no hope of attracting christian fundies
so I think it is probably defense contractors as well, not to mention the fact that the leadership of many Jewish organizations are far more conservative on the issue than most Jews. It creates a false impression of broad support for the Israeli right in the Jewish community.
