ABC Poll ---Clinton bounce for Kerry leads Bush by 8 head/head
Edited on Mon Jun-21-04 06:04 PM by demdem
This is also inline with the latest LA Times poll that had Kerry up by 8, in which Matthew Dowd called a mess. What will he say about this mess?

(Ouch read this) Kerry more honest by far.

Kerry leads by 13 points on honesty and trustworthiness, and by 20 points on empathy — someone who "understands the problems of people like you."

http://abcnews.go.com/sections/us/Polls/iraq_election_040621.html

If the 2004 presidential election were being held today, would you vote for George W. Bush, the Republican, or John Kerry, the Democrat? (registered voters)

Bush 45%
Kerry 53%
Other 0%
Neither 1%
Would not vote 1%
DK/No opinion 0%

Source: A Washington Post-ABC News poll conducted by telephone June 17-20, 2004 among 1,201 randomly selected adults nationwide. The margin of sampling error for overall results is plus or minus three percentage points. Fieldwork by TNS of Horsham, PA.

Rasmussen has Kerry today up by 3.

If Bush can have a Reagan bounce then Kerry can have a Clinton bounce.

2. Looks like we made it through Reagan week
I think it's still an even race, but Bush's Reagan bounce appears to have been a dribble--at best.

This is why polls are almost useless.

What person decides to vote for Bush because Reagan died, or vote for Kerry because Clinton writes a book?

A shallow individual, that's who.

Well, if Clinton can help Kerry, then I hope he does all he can.

but it's fun to call it a Clinton bounce.

Washington Post poll). Their main point was that he was down in his War on Terror numbers.

If I go to either ABC news or WashPost.com, I get shut down for "performing an illegal operation". I have tried multiple times on both sites.

What are his WOT numbers? I heard * overall approval was 47% and disapproval was 51%.

Can someone give me the interesting details because my computer is crap. :argh:

10. Kerry up +20 on empathy
this must explain the spate of stories telling us how rich Kerry is, and how much us rubes resent it. The whores are trying to get Kerry's empathy numbers down.

11. What you're seeing is a return to the trends that preceded Reagan's death
Remember, too, the 9/11 Commission report about Iraq having no ties to al-Qaida. That appears to have hurt Bush. He's actually tied with Kerry on fighting terrorism. Holy shit!

13. The Pukes really frittered away the power of Reagan's demise
Good for them. I think a lot of Americans got tired of hearing the weeklong Reagasm from the right wing, and the result is that Reagan's death did not do them an iota of good. Americans love schlocky emotive displays of grief and "patriotism." But the Reagan hand got way overplayed. Now if America does not get Clinton malaise, the bounce will be good for us.

well, not really, but i always knew Clinton could only help. those who hate him so much for having an affair wont vote democratic anyways. so we should use clinton for his positives. he did leave office mostly with positive ratings.
