But it cranks up with Cheney's lies being "caught on tape" and exposed. An absolute riot. And completely on target.

Then the Weekly Standard guy who wrote about al Qaeda links to Saddam comes out and Jon takes a big dump on him. The poor idgit can't even defend the position he takes in the book. He hardly tries.

It is a really good episode.

16. Wow - what an effective ploy!

Stewart ticks of four things on his fingers:

1. Developing weapons of mass destruction
2. Inflammatory rhetoric against the US
3. Supporting and harboring terrorism
4. Oppression of their own people

Then he says, "Now here's the problem with your own doctrine (of pre-emption). You can't tell me what country I've just named."

"And that's a problem when you're talking about war."

DAMN! Stewart sums up on a comedy show what we and our loyal opposition leaders should have been saying for two years.

And the reason it's so effective, is that his ploy sucks you in. It's much more effective than saying, "Well, Saddam wasn't the only brutal dictator out there."
