HMOs can't be sued for damages
Supreme ourt disallows the common folks' ability to sue HMOs. "Common folks" because the Bushes don't use HMO's. They can afford health insurance for private doctors whom they can sue.

With this ruling there is nothing to stop HMOs from denying care to anybody. Patients can sue in federal court to get the service provided and during that lengthy process, if they get sicker or die--tough. The only remedy in federal court is provision of the actual service but no damages for the pain and suffering.

BushCo and the right prove once again that they don't give a damn about people--only profits.

think about it: you can shell out $$$ for insurance (as I do), pay and pay what you can barely afford to assure you have health insurance, and still the HMOs can deny you health care if they feel like it.

God bless America.

2. I just don't understand policies that do not address issues like health
care, education, etc. While there may be valid concern about the high cost of health care, some solution should be considered that will at least provide alternatives to people denied care. This just seems wrong from a government that's supposed to be of and by the people--which, of course has been stolen.

4. And the drumbeat continues...
for the ever-growing march to the end of access to the Courts. Make no mistake. Bushco has a very solid and uniform agenda on closing the doors of the Courthouse to the common citizens and making it near impossible for those who manage to slip through to win any significant verdict. The more grip these folks get on both the executive, legislative and judicial branches, the more rights everyone loses...except their powerful friends.
