-snip-
Ryan declined to comment specifically about the sex club allegations and other testimony from his ex-wife that characterized him as controlling. He allegedly told her what to eat, how to sit and what to wear. He also insisted she exercise. Ryan retorted in court papers he couldn't have been too controlling, considering he encouraged her to pursue her acting career in California while he lived in Chicago.

16. me, too
I've been trying (well, begging) to get my wife to buy a leather mini-skirt for well over a year now - and she refuses, even though she has the slim figure to pull it off easily. Heck, I even asked for her to get one for herself for MY birthday.

5. no man can control Seven of Nine
and Jack Ryan is more a moran than * for trying.

How is it that a man could need additional stimulation if you're married to that woman?

What a pluperfect fool.

10. Jack Ryan, Isn't he the guy from those Clancy novels?
I didn't think he was such a jerk from what I read about him in Tom's books.

12. Don't pile on you want this guy to stay in the race
Don't be surprised if the GOP tries to pull a switcheroo a la Lautenberg in NJ 2002.

13. Pukes are in disarray in Illinois
The only reason Peter Fitzgerald won is because he ran against Carole Mosely Braun. She was too damaged to stand a chance.

Fitzgerald turned out to be pretty good, which is why the pukes ran him off.

So I don't think it matters much who the pukes put up.

14. This rarely works.

In MN, we switched the late Sen. Wellstone with the very much alive and formidable Walter Mondale, and we got our asses handed to us.

In 1968, LBJ declined to run again, and Bobby was assassinated, so we got Humphrey instead. Nixon was the result.

Just examples I remember.

Lautenberg won because his opponent wasn't as good as concealing the fact he's an asshat.
