Could Gavin Newsom be the next Bill Clinton?
GREAT article in this months GQ abbout San Francisco Mayor, Gavin Newsom.Anyone think that in maybe 15 years or so he could be the next Clinton?

If they did I would have posted.Next time your out at the bookstore check out the article.Its not very long,but it sounds real good,IMO!By the way,just checked out their site.Its the issue with Wil Ferrel on the cover!

3. He's very pro business. I don't have a problem with the Dem party having
people like him in it, but I like it when dems who are more pro-worker rise to the top.

Newsom seems all right and I would definitely take him over a GOPer, but I'd still take Gonzalez over him.

I don't know but he seems to definetly have a future and I think he correctly believes that in a decade or so liberals will have finally won the gay rights battle of the culture war just like every other major social issue and that he will be seen as a visionary. I assume he would have to run for a higher office before he ran for pres, although it's not an absolute neccessity. SF is one of the biggest cities in the country. I dunno. The most likely is either Diane Feinstein's senate seat or perhaps the governorship. You think he could beat Arnold or will he wait till the Governator's out of office?

If he did become president I think he and his wife would beat out JFK and Jackie on most presidential sex appeal.
