Bush Lies on HMOs Exposed by Al Franken
Al Franken exposed Bush's lies on HMOs today.

When Bush was governor of Texas, he vetoed a bill to allow Texans to sue their HMOs in state court.

Then the state legislature passed the HMO bill with a veto-proof majority.

Then Bush let it become law without his signature, while expressing his objection.

Then Bush boasted about the bill during an October 2000 debate with Al Gore, saying that Americans would have similar rights if he's elected.

Once in the office of President, Bush opposed letting people sue their HMOs in state court, and the Bush Administration told the Supreme Court that people shouldn't be able to their HMOs in state court.

The Bush Administration was succesful in persuading the Supreme Court and taking away rights from people injured by their HMOs, and the families of people killed by the decisions of their HMOs.

------------
I wish that "The O'Franken Factor" were broadcast in Washington, DC, so that people who deal with Bush directly could see what a liar he is.

5. He's getting MUCH better, very quickly
I love his show, it's becoming a habit like Randi's show.

Who else was LOL during today's Oy Oy Oy show?
"Then they cauterized my urethra.. Oy it was very painful!" :D

2. Well, at least it's getting publicized SOMEWHERE
That's an improvement over Early Imperial Amerika 2001-2002.

3. I heard this segment...
And Franken does a pretty good impression of GW Bush (as he does Cheney and Rush...)

I rarely listen to the pinhead* (his speaking manner grates my nerves) but from what I have heard, Franken nails him pretty good. :D

4. "flippity floppity"
he calls him on his lies which continue on a daily basis, which is a pretty good tactic considering that we don't get a chance to refute one b/c there's another comin round the bend for sure

6. After listening to Wolfie interview Wes Clark on CNN and
after hearing Wolfie ask him the dumbest questions about Clinton and Bosnia, which Clark deftly put Wolfie down on, I had to turn Franken on just to get some intelligent conversation.

7. Gore lost my vote
when he allowed Bush to get away with that outrageous lie plus the lie about how he was responsible for getting healthcare for poor kids in Texas (fought it, vetoed it, refused to fund it for over a year after it passed over his veto).

I knew than that Gore was either throwing the race or that he was the biggest wimp in the history of the DLC, and they've given us some lulus.

9. The news organizations never called Bush on it either
but they were relentless on things that Gore never actually said! Invented the internet, Love Canal, Love Story - the list goes on and on.

8. I think Al Franken is really coming in to his own on the radio...
...He did sound shaky to begin with, but his radio-style is becoming more impressive all the time.
