Is right-wing talk radio panicking ??
I listened for a bit to a usually moderate conservative radio host out of Denver this morning and he was going over the edge it seemed to prove there was a connection between al Qaeda and Saddam Hussein. One could sense an air of inevitability in the tone of voice. They are in panic mode. Their tyrant, George W Bush is in deep doo-doo, as his Poppy once said. They are doing their best to talk him back into the game but they are in serious trouble and they know it. Limbaugh's replacement this morning (where is Limbaugh?) was about the weakest excuse for a host that has ever been on any syndicated show. Is it possible that they are about to crash and burn? :)

1. he is merely
an attack on US soil or a fixed election away. Nothing can change these facts from without. It will take the courage of someone within to change the world.

Taking out a Wellstone, a MLK, or a President means nothing to these greedy, selfish, racist, elitist corporate fascist.

Only money=power, means anything to these insects!!!

3. Don't Think So....Look What They're Doing To Clinton's Book...
It's a non-stop relentless attack on Clinton, all across the media from the far right radio and television to the mainstream media like NBC, the NY Times and PBS-The Newshour...

This will have a negative effect, but I'm hoping it will also have a positive effect with the Clinton base....and the independents...

11. The Republicants are unbelievably . . .
vicious toward the Clintons. They have to keep up their attacks because . . . they know Hillary is eventually gonna run, and when she does, she will be voted into office. That literally scares the crap out of the right.

Everything Bill Clinton was being prosecuted for during his Presidency starting with when he announced he would run for President, he has and Hillary has been completely exonerated. You never hear that from the right.

I'm so sick of them blaming Clinton for everything. Rush is so paranoid that anything that is going wrong in his sad life is because of the Clintons. That's all he talks about. Hannity preaches against Clinton.

Their new website was announced before the thing was finished. They are still working on it. They stated it is there to oppose

They are running scared and I hope they piss their pants on election day when Kerry is elected President.

7. I don't understand that...
The claim that Clinton's book and tour is firing up the Conservative Base. Those people won't ever vote Dem to begin with, so who cares if they are fired up?

Fence-sitting old style conservatives don't give a shit about Monica. They are more perturbed about the trillion dollar national debt, the Patriot Act and the black hole money sucking War on terror with no End.

10. Why Rep's matter
The reason it matters if the rank and file is riled up is they will be more likley to vote! I know a few people on the right who aren't sure if they are going to vote this year. they hate Bush but will not ever vote for a democrat.

4. Yep, and so is Rush, Hannity, and I wonder what
Michael Reagan thinks about his party and the worshippers of his father are slinging mud at his step-mother, brother and sister? I think we should all go to his website and ask him to go to the Freepers site and read for himself. These people are vicious toward President Reagan's family because of Nancy's call for more stem cell research, Ron Jr., not supporting Bush; however, I have not seen anything regarding Michael Reagan.

Has Michael Reagan, who has milked the Reagan name to get everything he has, will take up for his family or agree with these right wing nuts?

It's disgusting!

8. When (if) Rush comes back...
Listen to how fast he talks. Closer to elections, and when Repubs are in trouble, he talks louder and faster. Am I imagining this? Maybe he only does this when he doubles up on the meds.

12. You mean more hysterical than usual?
I caught a few minutes of fat man last week on the way to a doctor's appointment. He was busy getting hysterical about how the bad liberals want to impeach Bush because they're just mean and hate him and how the stupid liberals don't realize that this would mean Cheney would be in office for eight years.

Yeah, right, like we'd let Cheney stick around.

13. Who were you listening to...
Peter Boyles or was it Mike Rosen, perhaps? Just wondering since I live in the area. Boyles is more moderately conservative whereas Rosen drank the koolaid long ago. Wrote the manual, in fact.

He's an elitist and admits it right up front. He tries to stay above all the trivial stuff, but he was down in the mud this morning, I thought.

17. I can't stomach him
Used to be that he was a conservative counterbalance to local lefties. But now that radio is swimming in neocons, his elitist tone is just too much.

The only one who even resembles a moderate conservative in Denver is Peter Boyles - KHOW-AM. He used to be left wing. But it's pathetic when he pleads his mantra that we should back Bush because "When the president does well, the country does well". Does he have that backwards or what?! But at least Boyles has more guests and does above average interviews. He actually reads the books before interviewing the authors. And I've heard him waverng to the left since Iraq has become a dismal body pit.

20. I agree....
Peter Boyles is the only one I can stomach also...I remember when he was on KOA with Alan Berg. Alan was my all-time favorite before he was assassinated...At first, I didn't think much of him but I grew to love him.

21. Berg
He was a treasure. I was driving to work when Boyles announced he'd been murdered. I recall him saying "They killed the mockingbird".

It's odd to look back now and think of Berg as a kinder, gentler brand of talk radio. Remember his garage sale broadcasts? Folks would call in with what they had to sell and he'd grill them on the quality of the item. And then he did that whole program on if folks like the toilet paper roll to sit with the paper coming over or under the top.

But, then - this is stuff for the DU Lounge, huh? :) Good memories!

Btw, do you remember KWBZ? That was a short lived but wonderful station with Boyles doing marathon 6 hour call-in shows to keep it afloat. That was around 1978 back in Pete's drinking and drugging days.

14. for any part subjected to high centripedal force
there is a limit above which failure is likely.

Rove and all his loyal subjects have been spinning like Dervishes on speed
for 3 plus years now. At this rate of spin, two things are true--
They don't have much mass (gravitas), and nothing better shake loose (like Plame, Torture, 911, or BBV, for example).

And the hush money has to flow. Without lube, the whole party would come apart explosively. That's is why it is so important that Cheney's energy papers get the vetting they leally require. California v. Enron will probably be the vehicle for this, or perhaps Nigeria v. Halliburton. Heck, even Texas v. DeLay might do it.
