40 protesters, carrying signs: "Bush You're Fired" and "Outsource Bush"
ABSOLUTELY KILLER response to Bush's remarks from Cincinnati Mayor Charlie Luken.

FIRST, let's listen to Bush:

"I think one of the smartest things we can do is to encourage families" by spending money on grants to states, faith-based organizations and community-based groups that "teach people what it means to be in a successful marriage," Bush told supporters at an alcohol and drug addiction services center.

"It's stuck" and "there's too much politics in Washington on this," said Bush. "Congress needs to get the welfare bill to my desk. It's a bill that will encourage work. It will encourage compassionate programs."

About 40 protesters, some carrying signs that said, "Bush You're Fired" and "Outsource Bush," demonstrated outside ADAS center, where the president spoke. Among them were Sierra Club members, who objected to Bush's environmental policies. Two women supported Bush and held anti-abortion signs that read, "Save the unborn."

Cincinnati Mayor Charlie Luken added in a statement: "What President Bush should realize, but does not, is that the single biggest factor in keeping families together is stability - a job, decent and affordable health care, and a quality education."

2. How about "Save the Born" first, and worry about the unborn later.

6. Can't Do That

Because that doesn't gel with our true agenda, which is to try to get people to stop f*cking.

5. Your comment
Would have a lot of Cincinnati Democrats on the floor laughing their butts off. He's sort of a Democrat. He's barely a Democrat. Lots of Democrats vote for him, but none of us love him.

7. You know
I thought about this when I was typing that... I wondered to myself whether he was completely all I'd want in a mayor.

I'm not surprised to hear he's not. However, that being said, I don't expect anyone to be perfect, and him just having the wherewithall to make that statement refuting bush's ideas is worth applauding his action.
