I feel like I have found gold on line; however, others may think it is
just more propaganda sites.

I came upon this site from The University of Wisconsin and it lists almost all of the electronic media sources from (Afghanistan, Bahrain, Iraq, Jordan, Kuwait, Lebanon, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Syria, Turkey, UAE, and Yemen) that are translated into English. I have always read the UK papers as well as Canadian papers and European papers along with the U.S. news, but I always would get more information from the foreign papers (I thought we had free speech and a free press???). I felt I needed to do this so I could REALLY be up-to-date with all news that was important to me and not sound like an idiot when I gave an opinion.

Why the websites below are gold to me is because I have found a couple Arab sites, but unless you have translator software (which I found BUT you have to pay a monthly subscription as well). The site below is FREE, FREE, FREE, and anything free is like gold to me.

I don't know if it has been posted here before, and if it has I apologize; however, if it hasn't, I think you will all enjoy these sites.

Also, their home page is another treasure trove of information

Thanks to the University of Wisconsin :wow:

2. Not really. Not according to Reporters Without Borders, anyway.

(snip)

Kuwait (102nd) replaced Lebanon (106th) as the Arab world's leader as regards respect for freedom of expression because of cases of censorship in Lebanon, together with abusive judicial proceedings and an attack on the television station Futur TV. Saudi Arabia (156th), Syria (155th), Libya (153rd) and Oman (152nd) used all the means at their disposal to prevent the emergence of a free and independent press.

4. Perhaps, in the future, I should show my sarcasm switch.

3. I usually check out the East and MidEastern press. Thanks for
posting the Wisconsin reference source. It is helpful.
