I started reading President Clinton's book today and I have to say that he writes the way he talks. It is really low key (well, he is just a kid so far). This book reminds me of the outstanding book "Rabin" written by Leah Rabin after the assassination of Yitzak Rabin. In her biography, you actually feel as if you are standing in the middle of a road somewhere near Tel Aviv. Clinton's writing is similar, he transports you in a way that only a fine writer can. You feel as if you are in the room. The 957 pages may be off putting, but this book is very readable. And he is telling you things you didn't know. I wonder if some of the people who wrote reviews of this book actually read it.

1. I haven't started reading it yet

I read the dedication - beautiful. I looked at the pictures and I got the sense of a life that had meaning and purpose right from the beginning. Unlike another president we all know x(

for my copy to arrive, pre-orderd from Amazon. I watched the Oprah interview and then Oprah After the Show scenes on cable. Gosh, he was just great!

I doubt the RW reviewers bothered to read it. They're anti-Clinton minds are already closed.
