I just saw the BBC interview with Bill Clinton !
Edited on Tue Jun-22-04 08:47 PM by kentuck
That Hannity and the right-wingers have been talking about. I don't know what they saw but I saw a controlled anger that slapped the BBC and reporters real hard with the truth. I hope every American can see it. It was great !

2. I suspect those stories
about him "blowing up" were released just to increase viewership.

3. I was running errands this afternoon and was suffering through Hannity
and it was all he could talk about.

I swear, the guy was getting a boner about this BBC interview!

He was terribly nasty to Clinton today. He was making fun of him in a vile manner. I know, I should expect that but today he was worse then usual.

11. I heard him, too.
He's going to bash Clinton this entire week. I don't what his problem is. Clinton is not running for president. I think Insannity is jealous because Clinton's book is doing so well.

4. Blow up?? No way!
There was controlled anger but it was buttressed by the absolute truth. It needed to be said. For once, I was glad to see Bill Clinton finally speak up. :)

5. Best interview Clinton ever gave
Much better than the revealing 60 Minutes interview the other night. He got sick of his friends and family being attacked, and he put out a message to the media.

Nothing wrong with sticking up for your friends. And brownshirts like Hannity and O'Really should know. They scream and yell constantly. After all, wasn't O'Really the one who yelled "SHUT UP SHUT UP SHUT UP" at a 9/11 victim's widower?

Pot. Kettle. Still black.

10. The whole BBC interview
here: http://www.bbc.co.uk/newsa/n5ctrl/progs/panorama/latest.ram

Start at 12 minutes, unless you want to watch the London local news (the BBC seems very lazy about their online video editing). Lewinsky stuff starts at about 17 minutes. Clinton hardly 'gets in a rage' - though he obviously feels strongly about the questioning. That's at about 29 minutes in.

The useless editors have cut the final remarks, which were something like:
Dimbleby: "And of course, if the voters elect President Hillary Clinton, they'll be getting two for the price of one."
Clinton: "Well, we tried that last time, and it didn't work out too good. I think I'll just pour the tea."
D: "Mr. President, thank you."
C: "Thank you."
Credits start to roll, but then they cut back to Clinton:
C (with a chuckle): "Actually, it did work out pretty good."

15. I don't know why everybody thinks the British press is so great
Sure sometimes they're more objective, but they make their money on sensationalism and scandals that they actually initiate, themselves, at times.

16. What do people think about Clinton's Comment on Kerry?
Edited on Wed Jun-23-04 07:11 AM by mh8782
They were discussing John Kerry and Clinton says that he'll make "quite a good president". There's a short pause, and then Dimbleby asks " quite a good president?".

Clinton tried to make it out as if it were nothing (a deliberate understatement) and said Kerry would make a "very good ... excellent president".

Am I seeing too much there? Does Kerry have Clinton's confidence?

17. I wish everyone...
... in America would see this. I couldn't have a more opposite opinion than Hannity/pukes about how Clinton handled that interview.

He smacked the guy down with class. And his message that "you guys never ask them the tough questions" is something Americans need to get through their thick heads.
