8. still not working for me . . .you can't just cut and paste

If you are taking links from a thread, look to see if they are followed by ellipsis (three dots) . . . If so, they have been TRUNCATED in the post. In other words, the text in the post is not the complete link, so you can't simply copy and pasteit.

WHAT YOU HAVE TO DO IS "copy link to clip board" with your mouse. I'm using a Mac so I assume the procedure is different on Windows but for me, I just hold the mouse cursor over the truncated link, hold down with the button, until I get the pop up that has several different options -- one of them being "copy link to clip board." I select that, then paste the WHOLE link into the posting box. It may still SHOW UP as truncated when I click the PREVIEW button, but if I click on the link it will open a new window and take me to the right location.
