Everyone here/Give YOURSELVES a standing ovation!
On what date did you all view the Booker T elementary video on the net of Herr stupid reading the book about the goat for seven minutes?

Chances are, like me...you probably watched it two years ago!

How long ago did we all know that the Saudis were flown out of the country in the days after 9-11?

Michael Moore is a hero for having the balls to make F911 and he has without question done a hell of a job... but I just wanted to take a moment to honor the net ferrets without whom (in my opinion anyway) Fahrenheit 911 wouldn't have been possible!

I want to commend volunteer researchers all over the net that have gotten the truth out there about Bush on sites like DU, Buzzflash, Democrats.com, Bartcop, Bushwatch, Online Journal and a host of others over the last few years.

We all deserve a pat on the back because without the determined screaming of the political web junkies/researchers this material would never have made it's way to Moore's eyes or to the public! :)

1. Amen
I was just telling a friend that the movie won't be as shocking to me cause I already know 99.9 percent of it because of venues like DU...

But imagine the folks who don't know squat... They're in for one big shock.

3. It just dawned on me this AM
That *We did it* so to speak!

After years of bullshitting around, seemingly wasting time and screaming into deaf ears... it looks like all the damning info on bush is FINALLY going to reach the Joe blow public!

It almost seems to good to be true!

7. It's going so so, but getting better
It has been a long journey. It seems I have been angry since the Impeachment. Finally we are seeing some light at the end of the tunnel. What a trip it has been and how our eyes have been opened. I now know that we can not for a minute assume that our politicians are on the job, so we must be.

11. You got THAT right!
On the down side...

I do wonder what I will do with myself if bush doesn't get reelected!

(I worry that I will actually have to get a life again lol)

13. Sorry, I don't know you, but you're going to have to explain
to me how Bush getting NOT elected is going to change things SO significantly that we can THEN have a life.

I say this because Gerge W. Bush was not placed in the Whitehouse in a vacuum. The environmental, global economic and geopolitical conditions that allowed the neocons to gain that kind of power will not have gone away if and when he is removed from office. WE, this country, are in deep deep shit but it is a much bigger problem than just here in the US. Until we get sufficiently organized to counter the GLOBAL CORPORATE AGENDA -- which primarily is extra-political in nature -- we can not guarantee either our national or economic security or our environmental sustainability. We need to make some very substantive changes in the STRUCTURES OF POWER themselves. That's my opinion.

How is it that you see things so differently? Getting rid of Bush, to me, is just STEP ONE in a much bigger battle to re-shape the system to be more responsive to HUMAN (as opposed to corporate) NEEDS.

6. It's like living in an alternate universe
Particularly where I live in a bright red state.

Most people walk around oblivious to the most basic truths about this administration, continue to worship the Chimpanzee in Chief, think Iraq is just a troublesome little sideline issue (but all is going just fine, thank you), and haven't a solitary clue about how ghastly this administration is.

Then you get online, read papers from other countries, look at online journalists reporting and see what is really going on.

These current eureka moments by the "press" are historical footnotes to the junta's crimes and are no longer "news" to anyone who has tried to keep up with what is going on.

9. I remember the school photo op
And I recall watching live when Andy Card whispered in Bush's ear. He went back to the book. I thought it weird behavior after a tragic plane crash.

I never had a problem with Bush flying around the country. That was the Secret Service's call, and they did their job well.

I remember at the time hearing about the bin Laden family members leaving the country (not really about the planes rounding them up) and thought that strange. Why was the government going out of their way to protect them?

So many questions, and I hope the truth does come out. Especially about Bush's behavior at the school photo op. That was inexcusable for a commander-in-chief.

10. To me his facial expression...
when Card whispered in his ear, looked like "Oh shit, guess I can't change my mind now"

That sounds a little conspiratorial but I wouldn't put anything past that moron!

12. And to think we were called conspiracy theorists!
If you talked about the Bin Laden family being rounded up and flown out of the country, even here at DU, people called you a tin-foil hat nutcase. Now the major media has been forced to cover the story.

2 days "after" 9-11? That was news to me. It's in the movie F 9/11.

14. Exactly.
The whole deer-in-the-headlights thing with Bush was just WEIRD -- right from the start. The hopping around in AF1, although odd, didn't effect me so much. And I thought, "protect the Saudi's -- from WHOM, exactly?" And if they needed to protect them, why was it that taking them out of the country was the only way to do that? That, like so MANY MANY things, was clearly BULL SHIT.
