A Dean-Gephardt ticket?
"I worked for Dick Gephardt (in 1988). I love Dick Gephardt. He's one of the most decent people I know."

1. He'd probably pick someone with foreign policy experience.
Most likely Clark or Graham, I'd think. But with Dean, you never know what's around the corner!

2. Gep is likable
on domestic policy he is one of the most liberal in the field. He would be strong with Labor and farmers. I don't like his stand on the war and I think his strategy in 2002 was flawed.

3. that would be one of the relatively few things Dean could do...
...to lose my vote. Gephardt has carried water for Bush* ever since January 2001. I want to see him unemployed, not VP.

5. If Dean or Kerry gets the nod, expect a Southerner to be Mate
Edwards or Graham. Completely ignoring the South is a gamble that the Democrats simply can't afford to take, regardless of qualifications, there will have to be a Southerner on the ballot.
