http://www.nynewsday.com/news/local/newyork/nyc-hal0623,0,2714593.story?coll=nyc-homepage-headlines

Family members of a retired New York City firefighter killed in Iraq while working for Halliburton said the Texas company has saddled them with his funeral costs and is mum about details surrounding his death.

Walter Zbryski's family is also wondering when they will be paid the $100,000 Halliburton owes them in benefits.

Richard Zbryski, of East Meadow, said his brother, Walter Zbryski, 56, a husband and father of two school-age children who was having health and financial difficulties, was recruited as a truck driver in March by a subdsidiary company of Halliburton.

"They told him it would be an opportunity of a lifetime to make himself financially secure," Richard Zbryski said.
