Bill Clinton and the Democrats worked so hard to control defiicits and....
Edited on Thu Jun-24-04 01:53 PM by kentuck
look what George W Bush and the Republicans did with all their hard work. It's amazing that there are still Americans (Republicans) out there that are are buying their bullshit? A picture is worth a thousand words. Look how long it took to correct Bush Sr's deficits? And look at the drop-off under Bush, JR? It looks like a cliff. And they stick their heads in the sand and say it doesn't matter because it's such a small percentage of GDP, etc. Uh-huh. They are a deceived lot.

PS..I borrowed this great chart from another thread... :)

2. At the Risk of Imitating Ross Perot,
Kerry should bring this chart to the debates and show it when making major policy speeches. It's the only way to cut through the crap and show people the real situation.

If Bush tries to brush it off, it will just look worse for him.

7. The tax policies and the return to supply-side economics...
and the return of huge deficits, which create higher interest rates and stymie the government from doing anything that the people need to have done from a social standpoint. Obviously, the Repubs think the people don't need anything else. They have all they need in the form of social programs. So they will just spend us into oblivion. How could a sensible person belong to such a cult?

9. Easily, the 2 taxcuts plus the "War on Terror", otherwise known as
the "Iraq corporate welfare plan for Republican business interests".
That's $500BB that's been transferred from our Treasury to ?????? in 3 years.

Assumng an average of $600.00 to 50,000,000 taxpayers per year, I can account for 90 of the 500BB. Somebody's made a killing on this administration.

6. If you listened to the budget debate today,
The Republican's are spewing the same lies and dstortions. The Obie amendment to reduce the tax windfall on people earning a million $/year is being trumpeted as a Democratic tax increase and this will hurt "small businesses"....all they care about is their narrow financial interests..

These historical reality doesn't lie, though...

11. Read Palast's book
"Best Democracy Money Can Buy"

and his take on the "small businessman" - enlightening.
