If ("WHEN"???) Kerry wins in November....
He ought to offer Michael Moore some kind staff position. White House communications director or something like that. Could you imagine
that???? Or press secretary, maybe.... MY GAWD how that would drive
RePudLickers over the edge....too damn funny.

4. I'm sure MM would decline the job
Not creative enough. Besides, he's a Naderite anyway, at heart.

But it's funny as hell to think of the repukes going over the edge!! Oh man they would be apoplectic!!

5. If??? There is no doubt in my mind that he WILL be our next President.
And I don't think that Moore is qualified for any position. I LOVE his work but Kerry needs to get the most qualified people in each field. Filling positions just to annoy the right-wing wouldn't be a good a idea. He has really important issues to deal with and needs people who can help him repairing the damage Bush has done.

6. It wasn't a serious suggestion...
just musing. And expressing my admiration for Moore and his work. Obviously he would never stop making films to work in government.
I was being fecetous.

13. I wasn't attacking you. It is a hilarious thought, I have to admit
And it really would drive those neo-cons crazy

9. nah
moore mostly just sings to the choir, of all the people i know, only the farthest left of us like him. Most of the middle do not like him. especially after the academy awards.

11. Sorry, but I started to really like him AFTER the Academy Awards
Not a lot of people have to guts to stand up and say what they think. But, he is not a Democrat. He wants Bush out of the White House, like so many of us.

I am very thankful for people like Moore.

14. i enjoyed what he did as well
but the nature in which he did it turned off most everyone, they thought it was inapropriate. I think it did more harm then good to our party.

7. We need Mike to keep the pressure on
Because it won't be over when we get rid of the chimp.

We still have to pay attention, and Mike always helps with that. Although I think back nostalgically to the days when he was doing funny little pieces on how "sensitive" and "gentle" Clinton's defense secretary was . . .

10. Nice thought but
I think Moore needs to remain free to say and do what he wants. For political purposes Kerry would have to retain the "professional" image in that he can't be associated with people who attack as harsh and bitterly as Moore does

I've no doubt that Kerry secretly loves Moore though, he just can't say it out loud.

12. Moore's anti-Bush, not a Kerry partisan.
No way would Moore accept such an offer, in the extremely unlikely event that Kerry were to offer it. He's pretty critical of the Dems too.

18. Yeah, but Mike won't get it.
After all, it's Kerry's war too. He's not running to put a stop to the conquest of Iraq, he just wants to show he can do a better job at conquering it. :eyes:
